Hello, my name is Aaron Faulx.  I have been teaching in Fairfax County Pulic Schools at Carl Sandburg Middle School for the past ten years.  Before that, I taught in Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools for 1 year.  At each stop of the way I have felt the need to improve upon my knowledge of the English Langue Learners that I have been asked to educate.  It is a gaping hole in our educational system and I intend being part of the solution that involves an improved knowledge of educating our students. 

I have a sincere passion for the profession of education.  My father, uncle, aunt, brother, and sister are all teachers.  I was named the VFW Social Studies Teacher of the Year (District 10-all of Northern Virginia) in 2013 and FCPS in correspondances with Northop Grunman and the Imperaial War Museums of England have selected me to attend a 2 week curriculum development program this summer at Cambridge University in England this summer.
